New Canadian antidumping Wheat gluten from several EU countries
New Canadian dumping Orders apply to goods that “originate in or that are exported from” the subject country. This means f.e. that in addition to dumping duties being imposed on German-origin wheat gluten shipped to Canada the same duties would be applied to any wheat gluten shipped to Canada from Germany regardless of origin. This approach makes it easier for CBSA officials to enforce the dumping Order. Since several EU countries have large airports and ports that could be transit site for direct shipment to Canada, European producers who want to get into the Canadian market could find themselves unintentionally subject to dumping duties.
